‘Disgraceful’: promoter slams Azealia Banks for behaviour on Australia tour
The promoter behind Azealia Banks’s chaotic Australian tour has slammed her as the most “disgraceful” client they’ve ever worked with.
Bizarro was responsible for two of the US rapper’s shows as part of her Australia and New Zealand tour, in a deal finalised in May with touring agency Point Blank Group.
The trip was plagued from its inception, with last-minute show cancellations, varied sets and social media tirades culminating in Banks’s assurance she would never step foot on Australian shores again.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Bizarro said the past fortnight had been its most “physically and mentally draining” ever, suggesting it wasn’t “naive” to Banks’s reputation but felt she “meant well” and had been over-sensationalised in the media.
“The lack of care she shows to her team, the people she works with, and her fans was truly disappointing to see,” it said.
“She was not present for any press opportunities, she failed to arrive at any event in a timely manner, she willingly posted inaccurate, disrespectful and slanderous content online, and her lack of care and appreciation for her fans, who make such an event possible, was disgraceful.”
In a final spray on Instagram earlier on Tuesday, Banks claimed Bizarro and Point Productions were “trying to cite all these stupid things as reasons not to pay me a dime” and had flown “all the way across the world to go home empty handed”.
“In all this attempt to assassinate my character there’s no mention of my mother fucking money, where is the money bitch, where the cash at?” she wrote on Instagram on Tuesday.
“I don’t give a fuck what you think about my fucking character, where’s my money?
“That’s why you n****s are burned you’re trying to use a character assassination as a means to not pay someone for work that they did, just say you’re broke and fucking go.
“I know that hurts for a white man but you bitches are broke … it doesn’t matter if I’m a fucking angel or a devil you’re still fucking broke.”
Bizarro slammed the claims as “slanderous” and “entirely false”.
“Whilst we have paid our fees to Azealia’s touring agent, we have also been led to believe that the majority of her tour has been paid to her personally in full, despite her willingness to burn down every show of the run,” Bizarro said, adding it had lost “tens of thousands” of dollars due to cancelled shows.
Visa troubles prevented Banks from flying to Melbourne up to 24 hours before her scheduled show on 10 December – the first time Bizarro said it was informed of the issue.
Bizarro said it did “everything” to aid the application process on the morning of the show but final approval arrived too late, resulting in the postponement of her first performance hours before doors.

The following day, Banks cancelled her show in Brisbane hours before she was due to go on stage, citing a past concert in the city as “the most racist, most demoralising experience of my fucking life” and Australia as an “utterly miserable” country.
“We were blown away,” Bizarro said. “Throughout this process we weren’t given any help whatsoever from Azealia or her team, being told directly by Azealia that it was our job to convince people she would perform.”

This was a Messi story in so many ways. Messi scored six goals at Qatar 2022 and won the Golden Ball as the best player. He toyed with some of the greatest footballers on earth. He did all this aged 35 and semi-injured. This is not normal. At some stage it will start to stretch the bounds of credibility.

How to Transform the Painful Emotions That Are Plugged Into Core Beliefs
They do in mine. Love shows up as an expansion in my chest and a deep flow of breath. Shame as a contraction in my gut. Sadness lives in my chest as well, but it’s more like heat that pushes up through my eyes and manifests as tears.
Thoughts are lighting fast. It’s no wonder that we don’t always register the thought and instead, feel the echo of it in our emotional field.
I’ve been on the path of self-healing for the past three years. Just when I think I’ve unearthed all the boogeymen in my closet, a yet unhealed trauma gets triggered and I’m back on the merry-go-round of feeling not good enough, unworthy, and most damaging of all, believing that there is something fundamentally wrong with me.
The feeling of shame strikes next. I can’t look my partner in the eyes because of the disgust I feel. I want to hide. I feel embarrassed that I am here again. Despite the self-love work I’ve done and written about, shame has once again taken the reigns.
Does this sound familiar?
Shame is cyclical. I shame myself for feeling shame. I beat myself up and believe the voice that insists I should be further along in my healing. That I’m a fake and have been fooling everyone, including myself.
Feelings of disgust and contempt follow. The merry-go-round of self-hate and shame spins ever faster. I hunker down and wait for the shame spell to wear off and for my nervous system to return to normal.
Where is ground zero for your feelings of unworthiness?
Childhood. But you knew that, right? Somewhere along the way, your inherent value as a human being did not get mirrored back to you.
It’s no one’s fault. We can’t give what we don’t have and it’s likely your parents/caregivers had no clue what they were doing. They were acting out of outdated patterns themselves.
Be that as it may, we find ourselves entering adulthood, feeling good about some aspects of ourselves, but when it comes to the most intimate relationship of all, the one with ourselves, we run out of love.
We don’t want to go there. We don’t want to think about it. We numb. We distract. We use alcohol and drugs to stop ourselves from imploding into the lack of self-worth, lack of self-love, lack of gentleness, and lack of self-care for ourselves.
These are painful thoughts that create extremely painful emotions.
Except they are not true
The merry-go-round you find yourself on is fueled by beliefs that have been programmed into you at a young age. Even though they may feel true, know that they are lies!
These beliefs create emotional pain in our bodies. We may feel nauseous, prickly, annoyed, punchy, hot, torturous, shut down, and disconnected.
For me, I feel like hiding. I don’t want to be seen. I don’t want my partner to show me love, because my core beliefs insist I’m unworthy of it.
I once asked my partner to be mad at me. And if not mad, then at least be disappointed in me.
When I heard myself say these words, it felt as though someone was talking through me because what I was asking him to do sounded horrible, unloving, unkind, and cruel.
Challenge the feeling. Just because it feels real doesn’t mean it is real. It’s an emotional reaction to an old belief that is nothing more than a deep groove called a neural pathway in your brain.
Neural pathways can be changed. It’s hard work, but absolutely possible.
When you start to feel the familiar feeling of unworthiness, have a conversation with it.
Say something like, Hey Shame. You’re back. I hear you telling me that I suck, that I haven’t amounted to much. That I am a disappointment. I hear you. I get it. You are just doing your job. Thanks for the info.
What this does, is create a gap between the thought and the feeling. You’ve made shame into something outside of you that you are having a conversation with, rather than continuing to internalize it.

Tell shame that you disagree with it, that you think you’re actually a good person. Force yourself to come up with reasons why you are worthy.
This may feel hard, even downright impossible. You may feel like not doing it, but know it’s the program, the core belief wanting to trip you up and keep you in the familiar loop of self-hate.
They do in mine. Love shows up as an expansion in my chest and a deep flow of breath. Shame as a contraction in my gut. Sadness lives in my chest as well, but it’s more like heat that pushes up through my eyes and manifests as tears.
Thoughts are lighting fast. It’s no wonder that we don’t always register the thought and instead, feel the echo of it in our emotional field.
I’ve been on the path of self-healing for the past three years. Just when I think I’ve unearthed all the boogeymen in my closet, a yet unhealed trauma gets triggered and I’m back on the merry-go-round of feeling not good enough, unworthy, and most damaging of all, believing that there is something fundamentally wrong with me.
The feeling of shame strikes next. I can’t look my partner in the eyes because of the disgust I feel. I want to hide. I feel embarrassed that I am here again. Despite the self-love work I’ve done and written about, shame has once again taken the reigns.
Does this sound familiar?
Shame is cyclical. I shame myself for feeling shame. I beat myself up and believe the voice that insists I should be further along in my healing. That I’m a fake and have been fooling everyone, including myself.
Feelings of disgust and contempt follow. The merry-go-round of self-hate and shame spins ever faster. I hunker down and wait for the shame spell to wear off and for my nervous system to return to normal.
Where is ground zero for your feelings of unworthiness?
Childhood. But you knew that, right? Somewhere along the way, your inherent value as a human being did not get mirrored back to you.

It’s no one’s fault. We can’t give what we don’t have and it’s likely your parents/caregivers had no clue what they were doing. They were acting out of outdated patterns themselves.
Be that as it may, we find ourselves entering adulthood, feeling good about some aspects of ourselves, but when it comes to the most intimate relationship of all, the one with ourselves, we run out of love.
We don’t want to go there. We don’t want to think about it. We numb. We distract. We use alcohol and drugs to stop ourselves from imploding into the lack of self-worth, lack of self-love, lack of gentleness, and lack of self-care for ourselves.
These are painful thoughts that create extremely painful emotions.
Except they are not true
The merry-go-round you find yourself on is fueled by beliefs that have been programmed into you at a young age. Even though they may feel true, know that they are lies!
These beliefs create emotional pain in our bodies. We may feel nauseous, prickly, annoyed, punchy, hot, torturous, shut down, and disconnected.
For me, I feel like hiding. I don’t want to be seen. I don’t want my partner to show me love, because my core beliefs insist I’m unworthy of it.
I once asked my partner to be mad at me. And if not mad, then at least be disappointed in me.
When I heard myself say these words, it felt as though someone was talking through me because what I was asking him to do sounded horrible, unloving, unkind, and cruel.
Challenge the feeling. Just because it feels real doesn’t mean it is real. It’s an emotional reaction to an old belief that is nothing more than a deep groove called a neural pathway in your brain.
Neural pathways can be changed. It’s hard work, but absolutely possible.
When you start to feel the familiar feeling of unworthiness, have a conversation with it.
Say something like, Hey Shame. You’re back. I hear you telling me that I suck, that I haven’t amounted to much. That I am a disappointment. I hear you. I get it. You are just doing your job. Thanks for the info.
What this does, is create a gap between the thought and the feeling. You’ve made shame into something outside of you that you are having a conversation with, rather than continuing to internalize it.

Protecting 30% of the planet to save nature is not as simple as it sounds

MONTREAL - From the lush Amazon rainforest to the frigid Arctic Ocean, the world’s landscapes – and all the wildlife they contain – are under threat, and the world needs to set aside a third of all land and sea territories to save them, United Nations experts say.
The call is central to the global agreement being hashed out this month at the UN biodiversity summit in Montreal. If approved at the end of the summit next week, governments would be agreeing to set aside 30 per cent of their land and sea territories for conservation by 2030 – doubling the amount of land area and more than tripling the ocean territory currently under conservation.
More than 110 countries have come out in support of the 30-by-30 goal, including Canada, the United States and France.
Proponents argue that the goal is crucial to reversing the destruction of nature. Currently, more than 1 million species are at risk of extinction, while the global insect population declines at up to 2 per cent every year and about 40 per cent of the world’s remaining plant species are in trouble.
But as is often the case with science-based policy, the details matter to whether a 30 per cent global conservation goal can truly save the world’s imperiled species and places.
“The danger, as with all these sorts of events populated by politicians, is they want a simple number,” said Stuart Pimm, a biologist at Duke University. “They would like to be able to leave Montreal and say we’re going to protect 30 per cent of the planet. But that alone is not enough.”
This driving question ultimately comes down to quantity versus quality.
There is not a strong scientific argument behind 30 per cent as the threshold for staving off species loss, experts said. In reality, it could take a much greater percentage of land or sea – or a lower percentage – depending which areas are selected.
“Thirty per cent is neither necessary nor sufficient,” Pimm said. “If we do things the right way, we protect most biodiversity by being smart – by protecting the areas that matter.”
There is a temptation, he said, to conserve vast tracts of land that are already without many people, but also have relatively little biodiversity, such as the Arctic tundra or Saharan desert.
But it is important to protect areas with lots of different species, known as biodiversity hot spots, even if they are more challenging to conserve because people live there or there are extractive industries.
Protecting narrow slices of land and sea such as Australia’s Great Barrier Reef or the Andes mountains, can offer far more reward than protecting large swathes of prairie, for example.
“A numerical target isn’t going to work,” Pimm said. “If we were to just protect 50 per cent of the planet, and we protect the least populated 50 per cent, it will do very little for biodiversity.”
A June 2022 study in the journal Science found that at least 44 per cent of global land area would be needed to protect areas with a high diversity of species, prevent the loss of intact ecosystems, and optimise the representation of different landscapes and species. But more than 1.8 billion people live in these areas.
However, co-author Hugh Possingham, a researcher at the University of Queensland, noted that “while there is nothing magical about 30 per cent… targets help focus the attention of nations.”
“I see 30 per cent as a goal that most countries can reasonably achieve by 2030,” he said, adding some countries, such as Bhutan, had already passed this goal.

One of the key tension points that has emerged in the 30-by-30 debate at COP15 is whether the target should be carried out globally or at a national level.
It is an important distinction, scientists and negotiators said. Some countries are small, without much land to set aside for nature. “Some ecosystems are more diverse and more fragile,” Possingham said. “Places like the Amazon need much greater fractions than 30 per cent to conserve their biodiversity – and maintain ecosystem functions that stabilize the planet’s climate.”
Currently, just under 50 per cent of the Amazon is under some form of official protection or indigenous stewardship, so a national pledge to conserve 30 per cent would represent a significant downgrade.
What counts as protected?
The other dispute plaguing 30-by-30 is over what should count as protection. Some countries might allow people to live within protected areas or promote indigenous stewardship of these lands. Some might even allow for extractive industries to operate under permits and regulation. In other cases, conservation areas are off limits to everyone.
The European Union has proposed allowing activities like logging, mining and fishing to be carried out under conservation management for 20 per cent of protected areas, while 10 per cent would be held under stricter protections.
The idea caused environmental nonprofit Greenpeace to accuse the EU last week of trying to water down language on 30-by-30, which the EU denied.
“Whatever activity is eventually happening in those areas, it should not harm biodiversity and the functioning of the ecosystem,” said Ladislav Miko, a special biodiversity envoy from the Czech Republic with the European Commission, at a news conference last week.

'A game changer': Vietnam reaches agreement on $15.5bn Just Energy Transition Partnership
UK, EU, and US among host of countries to back major new public and private finance package to help South East Asian economy reduce reliance on coal power
Vietnam has today become the latest major emerging economy to agree a Just Energy Transition Partnership (JTEP) with a host of industrialised nations and leading banks, confirming amnbitious plans to ramp up investment in the country's clean energy infrastructure.
The UK, the EU, France, Germany, the US, Italy, Canada, Japan, Norway, and Denmark have all backed the plan, which mirrors similar agreements reached with Indonesia and South Africa.
Under the terms of the agreement, the JETP will mobilise an initial $15.5bn of public and private finance over the next three to five years to support Vietnam's transition away from coal power.
The investment package will see Vietnam strengthen its climate goals, pulling forward its projected peaking date for all greenhouse gas emissions from 2035 to 2030 and reducing its peak annual power sector emissions by up to 30 percent, from 240 megatons to 170 megatons.
The deal is also expected to limit Vietnam's peak coal capacity to 30.2GW down from a current planned peak of 3GW and at the same time accelerate the roll out of renewables so they account for at least 47 per cent of electricity generation by 2030 - a sharp increase on the current planned generation share of 36 per cent.

The partners said the successful delivery of the new targets would result in around 500 megatons of emissions being saved through to 2035, while also creating thousands of green jobs and driving investment across the fast-expanding economy.
The deal had been expected to be finalised to coincide with last month's COP27 Climate Summit in Egypt, alongside the $20bn JTEP agreed with Indonesia. However, the talks reportedly stalled with Vietnam's government pushing for a greater share of the funding to be provided through grant programmes than loans.
However, a deal now appears to have been finalised and a host of private investors recruited to back a series of new clean energy projects.
Initial contributions to the Vietnam JETP include $7.75bn in pledges from the IPG together with the Asian Development Bank and the International Finance Corporation. The commitment is accompanied by plans to work to mobilise and facilitate a matching $7.75bn in private investment from a set of private financial institutions coordinated by the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ). Potential investors include Bank of America, Citi, Deutsche Bank, HSBC, Macquarie Group, Mizuho, MUFG, Prudential PLC, Shinhan, SMBC, and Standard Chartered.
The Vietnam government is now expected to work to develop and adopt a JETP Resource Mobilisation Plan over the next 12 months, which will enable the implementation of the JETP funding and wider strategy.
UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak hailed the deal as further evidence the JETP model "is a game changer in the fight against climate change - using international aid to unlock billions of dollars of private finance".
"Vietnam is a dynamic, emerging economy at the heart of South East Asia," he added. "The investment we are making today means the country can cut its emissions while simultaneously creating new jobs and growth. Together we will deliver a cleaner, greener future for Vietnam and our planet."
President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen similarly predicted the partnership would help "show how emerging economies can accomplish the clean energy transition that their people and our planet so desperately need".
"With investments from international partners, Vietnam can boost renewable energies and enhance its energy security and autonomy," she said. "We will help Vietnam to start reducing its greenhouse gas emissions five years earlier than planned, and dramatically reduce its coal power use. This Partnership will help Vietnam to build a 21st century power sector, energising its economic growth and bringing environmental and health benefits to its citizens."
Reports have suggested further JETPs are being discussed with Senegal and India in a bid to highlight how the approach could help a range of different emerging economies accelerate their transition away from coal power.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres hailed the partnerships as "a crucial tool to unlock the emissions cuts our world needs in the 2020s".

The news came on the same day as Von Der Leyen separately announced fresh plans to respond to the President Biden's Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and its increased support for US low carbon industries with a fresh package of measures to accelerate investment in Europe's net zero transition. She proposed a four point plan to reform state aid rules to allow more support for strategic green industries, work closer with the US to decarbonise heavy industry and their supply chains, ramp up public investment in the net zero transition, and accelerate permitting of renewables projects.
Von Der Leyen criticised aspects of the IRA, arguing that some of the 'buy America' clauses and subsidies contained in the legislation could lead to unfair co-operation. But she also stressed that the EU welcomed "global clean tech race" that was now underway.

Interview With TSM India’s AquaNox: “BGMI will always be the top one”
The Esports Club New State Open, the first-ever LAN event for New State Mobile in India, is just around the corner. Sixteen teams, eight from the group stage and eight invited teams, will compete against each other on 19th and 20th November for a humongous prize pool of INR 10,50,000 ($12,894 USD).
AFK Gaming had the opportunity to sit down with TSM India’s professional Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) player, Harsh “AquaNox” Rao. AquaNox became a part of TSM India in July 2021. Since then, he has established himself as one of the strongest BGMI players. With his inclusion in the team, TSM India has won multiple titles and was at its pinnacle for quite some time before the game’s ban.
AquaNox and TSM India are finally back to LANs at the TEC Arena
LAN events were on halt in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions and to ensure the safety of the players. As soon as the LAN tournaments resumed, the government of India blocked BGMI under Section 69A of the IT Act 2000 after a couple of LAN tournaments.
The return to LAN events has AquaNox beaming with excitement. “LAN has a very competitive environment. Every team thinks about how they can beat all other teams. So, every other day you get a different approach from every other team. I find it very interesting. It improves the competitive experience, and you feel like playing more,” he said. “The LAN event is happening after such a long time, so we will meet many of our friends and spend time together. Obviously, LAN is very helpful for every team, and everyone enjoys it too.”
“In a LAN setting, you give your 200% percent. However, you can’t pay much attention in an online setting. You can’t predict what other teams would do even if you want to. But in LAN, you can understand the mindset of your opponent teams. So, you can adapt to that thing accordingly on LAN,” he explained.
TSM India will be competing against 15 of the best New State Mobile teams from across India in the New State Open. But that hasn’t haunted AquaNox’s expectations. He revealed that he and his team plan to win the tournament. “Most of the time, we ended up in the second position. This time we will try our best to rank first or atleast come in the top 3 in this event. Hopefully, it will be good. We will give our best,” he said.
TSM India has been hard at work in its bootcamp to help achieve this goal and are intent on making TSM India better than ever. “We always have fun in the TSM India bootcamp. All the players and content creators usually sit together and discuss what we can do better. We always try to figure out what changes we can make in the gameplay to make a better TSM India than the previous one,” he said. “We keep motivating each other and never point out the mistakes of others. Even if we point out, we make sure to solve those mistakes. So, our mindset is always to get the first rank, nothing else.”
Thoughts on New State Mobile
Aquanox believes that New State Mobile has a bright future in esports. “Honestly, I haven’t played New State Mobile much because BGMI might return. Now, I am exploring other games as well, so I have played New State Mobile but not much,” he said. Following this, he added, “It seems that New State Mobile has a bright future. There are a lot of good players in the game, and it is very different from BGMI. The game is interesting, but at the same time, it is also a little difficult. BGMI is a slow-paced game, whereas New State Mobile is a fast-paced game like PC games. Maybe that’s why many people don’t like it, but it is really good for esports.”
However AquaNox believes that it will be hard for New State Mobile to become as big as BGMI or PUBG Mobile. He replied, “It will be difficult because BGMI has a huge fan following. On the other hand, New State Mobile was recently released. It seems New State Mobile is planned for the future. It might become popular in the future as it is a very mechanical game. But BGMI will always be the top one.”
TSM India will fight against the best New State Mobile teams at the New State Open. During the interview, AquaNox revealed the teams he is looking forward to playing against. He replied, “We don’t usually have any such thing. But few teams, like Team SouL and Team XO, make us feel like competing against them. We give our best, and they give their best. Then, we think about how we can adapt to their new strategy. So, these two teams feel aggressive and versatile, like every player makes the most out of their role.”
It is interesting to see Aquanox being so ready to adapt to different titles when called for. So we were curious about his preference for PC esports titles and which title he would compete in. “Valorant or CS:GO, anytime,” he said without any hesitation. “Because I used to play CS 1.6 professionally and have also played its LAN tournaments, but my PC wasn’t that good. When BGMI was suspended, I thought about becoming a Valorant professional player.” Following this, he added, “From the beginning, I believed that I could give my best in competitive gaming, whether it is a PC game or a mobile game. With the amount of work I put in, if I grind enough, I can even go pro in PC gaming. That’s my mindset.”
We asked AquaNox whether he watches Valorant esports and, if he does, which three players are his favorite. He replied, “Yes, I do watch. The first would be Forsaken ( Paper Rex) because his aim is very strong. Then, I would say SkRossi (Global Esports), obviously. The third would be Boaster (Fnatic).”
Words for fans and aspiring pros
AquaNox also shared his advice for aspiring pro players who want to pursue a career in esports. He said, “It is all about hard work and patience. Don’t think about the results; work hard and keep patience. If you are working hard, the results will come. Never think about results. Just think about giving your best, and improve daily. Think about how you can improve, approach esports, and explore, like talking with other players or joining teams. Patience is very important. If you lose patience, then everything will go in vain. Continue your hard work, it might take a year, but it will all be worth it. The same happened with me; it took me one entire year. You have to wait and keep working hard. The future is very bright in esports.”
Following this, AquaNox talked about his fans. “Fans have been very supportive. Whatever happens, even in downfall, they have been supportive. When we win, they support us a lot. Because of them, we get motivation and morale boosts. Seeing an unknown person supporting you boosts your morale and confidence, making you work hard and play even better to strengthen your fanbase. It is a great feeling when fans show support and love. I can’t express it in words. There’s a special corner in my heart for them,” he said.
Aquanox’s thoughts on BGMI’s Return
Finally, we couldn’t let go of AquaNox without speaking about BGMI’s potential return. We asked him if he has anything to share with fans who are eagerly waiting for the game to return.
He said, “According to what I have heard, BGMI will return. The founder of Orangutan Gaming also publicly revealed that the game would return. So hopefully, let’s see if it comes in the next two months. If it does not get banned again, esports will grow a lot to the next level.”
Following this, he added, “Also, I think PC esports will also start to grow; it already has. I want PC esports to grow more in India because it’s my favorite. If I get free time, I start watching any PC esports tournament. I find it very interesting, and it keeps me going in esports.”

Brazilian legend Pele has sent a powerful 17-word message to Manchester United forward Antony following Brazil’s shock World Cup defeat to Croatia.
The five-time World Cup winners looked set to be the first nation to book their place in the last-four after Neymar broke the deadlock in the closing stages of the first half of extra time.
But Bruno Petkovic drew the Croats level with three minutes of extra time remaining which meant the game would be decided by penalties.

But the 22-year-old wasn’t fazed by the former Inter Milan’s robust approach, and when the opportunity came for the 15-time Brazil to shoulder-to-shoulder with Perisic, it was Antony who came out on top in the test of strength.

Australian MPs land in Taiwan, defying Beijing warning
A group of Australian lawmakers has landed in Taiwan, Taipei's foreign ministry confirmed Tuesday, defying warnings from Beijing over the visit at a time of rising tensions over the self-ruled island.
"There is a group of bipartisan members of the parliament from Australia currently visiting Taiwan. They are already here," ministry spokeswoman Joanne Ou told reporters.
The delegation will "discuss a wide array of issues of mutual interests", she said without providing further details.

New Delhi - The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), which issues the Aadhaar Card, is encouraging cardholders to update their details voluntarily.
According to the Times of India, officials especially urge those who have moved to a new address or changed their phone number since they first registered.
Additionally, Aadhaar holders who were issued the unique ID more than 10 years ago but have not updated their details since are being urged to update their identification and residence proof documents.
Cardholders can update their details using the mAadhaar app or at an Aaadhaar centre near them for Rs50. However, additional security will be required in the cases of those wanting to update biometrics.
The Aadhaar programme establishes identification through the iris, fingerprint and photographs.
Over the last 10 years, the Aadhaar number has emerged as a source of identification for individuals, the statement said. The Aadhaar number is used in different government schemes and services.
To avail of government benefits, individuals are expected to update their Aadhaar data so as to avoid any inconvenience in identification/ certification, it added.

El Gobierno elige Sevilla como sede de la Agencia Espacial Española y A Coruña tendrá la Agencia de Inteligencia Artificial
El Gobierno ha anunciado en la rueda posterior al Consejo de Ministros que la Agencia Espacial Española tendrá su ubicación en Sevilla, mientras que la sede de la Agencia Española de Supervisión de la Inteligencia Artificial estará en A Coruña. La ministra de Política Territorial y portavoz, Isabel Rodríguez, ha enmarcado esta decisión en la apuesta por descentralizar los organismos públicos de nueva creación para fortalecer la igualdad de oportunidades y la cohesión territorial.
La sede en Sevilla de la futura Agencia Espacial Española (AEE) podría estar operativa en el primer trimestre de 2023 y coordinará las actividades y las políticas nacionales sobre el espacio y la participación de España en los programas internacionales en este ámbito. Estará ubicada en el Edificio CREA, en el barrio de San Jerónimo, al norte de la ciudad. Un inmueble de 3.311 metros cuadrados listo para ser ocupado por la plantilla de 60 trabajadores que podrá en marcha la Agencia. La sede está a doce minutos del aeropuerto de Sevilla, con conexiones a Bruselas, París, Amsterdam, Roma, Francfort y Toulouse.
Igualmente, se encuentra a quince minutos de la estación de Santa Justa, con trenes de Alta Velocidad desde hace 30 años, y la planta hotelera suma 31.566 plazas, según el Instituto de Estadística y Cartografía de Andalucía (IECA). A Coruña, sede de la Inteligencia Artificial
La ubicación de la Agencia de Supervisión de la Inteligencia Artificial, por su parte, será A Coruña. La sede ha recibido el respaldo de 92 entidades y se ha decidido tras constatar que reúne los requisitos para albergar esta sede, tales como entorno económico y empresarial, ecosistema universitario, y relativos a la logística y comunicaciones.
En el tercer trimestre de este año, el conjunto de las demandas de disolución matrimonial registradas en los órganos judiciales (nulidades, separaciones y divorcios) ha ascendido a 19.501, cifra que representa una disminución del 3,1% con respecto al mismo trimestre de 2021. Aun así, según recoge el informe elaborado por el Servicio de Estadística del Consejo General del Poder Judicial (CGPJ), el ritmo de disminución en este trimestre ha sido inferior al observado en el trimestre anterior, que fue del 8,8%. Por comunidades autónomas, Canarias, La Rioja y Comunidad Valenciana lideran el número de demandas de disolución por cada 100.000 habitantes.
Todas las formas de disolución matrimonial disminuyeron en el trimestre analizado. Para los divorcios de mutuo acuerdo, de los que se presentaron 11.321 demandas, la reducción interanual fue del 3,8%. En el caso de los divorcios contenciosos, que sumaron 7.413 demandas, la disminución se situó en el 1,4%. Por su parte, se produjeron 511 separaciones consensuadas, lo que supuso un 8,1% menos y 239 separaciones contenciosas, cifra que es un 9,1% más baja que la registrada hace un año. El número de demandas de nulidad, 17, se ha reducido en un 19% respecto al mismo trimestre de 2021.
Poniendo en relación las demandas de disolución matrimonial del total del año con la población a 1 de enero de 2022, se observa que el mayor número de demandas de disolución por cada 100.000 habitantes se dio en Canarias, con 53,2; La Rioja, con 47,9; Comunidad Valenciana, con 46,4; Andalucía, con 44,6; Murcia, con 44; Islas Baleares, con 43,5; Asturias, con 42,4; y Cataluña, con 41,9. Todos estos territorios superaron la media nacional, que fue de 41,2 demandas por cada 100.000 habitantes. Por debajo de la media nacional se situaron el País Vasco, con 30; Castilla y León, con 33,7; Navarra, con 34,2; y Extremadura, con 34,5.

El Gobierno ha anunciado en la rueda posterior al Consejo de Ministros que la Agencia Espacial Española tendrá su ubicación en Sevilla, mientras que la sede de la Agencia Española de Supervisión de la Inteligencia Artificial estará en A Coruña. La ministra de Política Territorial y portavoz, Isabel Rodríguez, ha enmarcado esta decisión en la apuesta por descentralizar los organismos públicos de nueva creación para fortalecer la igualdad de oportunidades y la cohesión territorial.
La sede en Sevilla de la futura Agencia Espacial Española (AEE) podría estar operativa en el primer trimestre de 2023 y coordinará las actividades y las políticas nacionales sobre el espacio y la participación de España en los programas internacionales en este ámbito. Estará ubicada en el Edificio CREA, en el barrio de San Jerónimo, al norte de la ciudad. Un inmueble de 3.311 metros cuadrados listo para ser ocupado por la plantilla de 60 trabajadores que podrá en marcha la Agencia. La sede está a doce minutos del aeropuerto de Sevilla, con conexiones a Bruselas, París, Amsterdam, Roma, Francfort y Toulouse.
Igualmente, se encuentra a quince minutos de la estación de Santa Justa, con trenes de Alta Velocidad desde hace 30 años, y la planta hotelera suma 31.566 plazas, según el Instituto de Estadística y Cartografía de Andalucía (IECA). En el caso de que la Agencia necesite una ampliación en el futuro, la candidatura de Sevilla ya prevé cuatro posibles nuevas sedes: el Centro de Empresas de Aerópolis, en La Rinconada; el Pabellón de Europa y el del Futuro en el Parque Científico Tecnológico (PCT) Cartuja y las recién rehabilitadas Naves de Renfe.

El nuevo organismo tendrá un impacto en el corto plazo (año 2023) de 360 millones de euros (directo, indirecto e inducido) y 5.860 empleos a nivel nacional. La ubicación de la Agencia de Supervisión de la Inteligencia Artificial, por su parte, será A Coruña. La sede ha recibido el respaldo de 92 entidades y se ha decidido tras constatar que reúne los requisitos para albergar esta sede, tales como entorno económico y empresarial, ecosistema universitario, y relativos a la logística y comunicaciones.
En el tercer trimestre de este año, el conjunto de las demandas de disolución matrimonial registradas en los órganos judiciales (nulidades, separaciones y divorcios) ha ascendido a 19.501, cifra que representa una disminución del 3,1% con respecto al mismo trimestre de 2021. Aun así, según recoge el informe elaborado por el Servicio de Estadística del Consejo General del Poder Judicial (CGPJ), el ritmo de disminución en este trimestre ha sido inferior al observado en el trimestre anterior, que fue del 8,8%. El número de demandas de nulidad, 17, se ha reducido en un 19% respecto al mismo trimestre de 2021.
Poniendo en relación las demandas de disolución matrimonial del total del año con la población a 1 de enero de 2022, se observa que el mayor número de demandas de disolución por cada 100.000 habitantes se dio en Canarias, con 53,2; La Rioja, con 47,9; Comunidad Valenciana, con 46,4; Andalucía, con 44,6; Murcia, con 44; Islas Baleares, con 43,5; Asturias, con 42,4; y Cataluña, con 41,9. Todos estos territorios superaron la media nacional, que fue de 41,2 demandas por cada 100.000 habitantes. Por debajo de la media nacional se situaron el País Vasco, con 30; Castilla y León, con 33,7; Navarra, con 34,2; y Extremadura, con 34,5.
Con la excepción de las modificaciones de medidas de guarda, custodia y alimentos de hijos no matrimoniales no consensuadas, todas las demandas de modificación de medidas, tanto matrimoniales como no matrimoniales, han mostrado disminuciones interanuales. First Daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband, senior presidential adviser Jared Kushner, have signed a deal to lease a condominium in Arte, according to a person familiar with the situation. Designed by Italian architect Antonio Citterio, the striking, pyramid-shaped building is considered one of the most luxurious new oceanfront developments in Miami’s Surfside neighborhood. It is also one of the area’s priciest: Its penthouse recently sold to a New York private-equity executive for $33 million, The Wall Street Journal reported.
One of the building’s developers has links to the president. Alex Sapir is the head of the Sapir Organization, a company started by his late father Tamir Sapir, a Soviet émigré who oversaw a large New York real-estate portfolio. The Sapir Organization teamed up with the Trump Organization to build the Trump SoHo condo-hotel in New York before the 2008 financial crisis.
Ms. Trump and Mr. Kushner signed a deal to lease a large, unfurnished unit in the building for at least a year, according to the person familiar with the deal. Properties of that scale in comparable areas typically rent in the tens of thousands of dollars a month, according to Zillow. The deal is thought to be an interim measure while the couple builds a house on a lot they recently purchased on Miami’s Indian Creek Island for $32 million.

David Sonenberg, Steinman’s manager and executor of the estate, said that the proceeds from the sale will be used to fund a new charity, Rockman Philharmonic, which will encourage people in music and the theater.
“It’s called Rockman because that’s what Steinman means in German,” he said. “We hope the buyer of the property collaborates with us—it would be an ideal place for an artist residency.”
In addition to the music room, which includes Steinman’s piano, there is a great room that served as a studio, complete with minstrel gallery above, a long hallway with celestial star-like lights in the ceiling, den, a sunroom, a family room and a kitchen with a skylight and vaulted ceiling. First Daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband, senior presidential adviser Jared Kushner, have signed a deal to lease a condominium in Arte, according to a person familiar with the situation. Designed by Italian architect Antonio Citterio, the striking, pyramid-shaped building is considered one of the most luxurious new oceanfront developments in Miami’s Surfside neighborhood. It is also one of the area’s priciest: Its penthouse recently sold to a New York private-equity executive for $33 million, The Wall Street Journal reported.
One of the building’s developers has links to the president. Alex Sapir is the head of the Sapir Organization, a company started by his late father Tamir Sapir, a Soviet émigré who oversaw a large New York real-estate portfolio. The Sapir Organization teamed up with the Trump Organization to build the Trump SoHo condo-hotel in New York before the 2008 financial crisis.
Ms. Trump and Mr. Kushner signed a deal to lease a large, unfurnished unit in the building for at least a year, according to the person familiar with the deal. Properties of that scale in comparable areas typically rent in the tens of thousands of dollars a month, according to Zillow. The deal is thought to be an interim measure while the couple builds a house on a lot they recently purchased on Miami’s Indian Creek Island for $32 million.
The couple couldn’t be immediately reached for comment.
Apartments in the 16-unit building have direct elevator entry with fingerprint recognition technology, deep wraparound terraces with Roman travertine ceilings, European white oak flooring and temperature-controlled parking spots.

The estate that served as a sanctuary for composer/lyricist/record producer Jim Steinman for three decades is being sold intact with all his possessions and collections, including the Yamaha grand piano on which he wrote Bonnie Tyler’s hit single “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” Celine Dion’s “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now” and Meat Loaf’s “I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That).”
Steinman, who produced, among other albums, Meat Loaf’s “Bat Out of Hell” and “Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell,” bought the property in 1993 for $424,500, according to property records, and spent over $6 million in construction costs alone converting its small 1920 colonial-style cottage into a grand estate that served as his primary residence.
Ms. Ancona noted his representatives decided selling everything together would be the most appropriate way to honor Steinman’s life and work.
The price—the multiple 555s are symbolic of new beginnings, and the 69 is the year Steinman graduated from Amherst College, which subsequently awarded him an honorary doctorate—pays homage to his creativity.
David Sonenberg, Steinman’s manager and executor of the estate, said that the proceeds from the sale will be used to fund a new charity, Rockman Philharmonic, which will encourage people in music and the theater.
“It’s called Rockman because that’s what Steinman means in German,” he said. “We hope the buyer of the property collaborates with us—it would be an ideal place for an artist residency.”
In addition to the music room, which includes Steinman’s piano, there is a great room that served as a studio, complete with minstrel gallery above, a long hallway with celestial star-like lights in the ceiling, den, a sunroom, a family room and a kitchen with a skylight and vaulted ceiling. Was am Samstag passierter: „Einem etwa 50 Jahre alten Mann, der im Parkett saß, wurde plötzlich mulmig, dann ist er zusammengebrochen“, erklärte Barths Pressesprecher Andreas Sucker am Sonntag am Telefon. Xinhua Commentary: New joint statement strong signal for peace, cooperation in South China Sea

BEIJING, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- Earlier this month, China and members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) issued a joint statement on the South China Sea at the 25th China-ASEAN Summit held in Phnom Penh of Cambodia.
In keeping with the spirit of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea (DOC) that has been in place for 20 years, the joint statement has shown the world not only the common will and determination of China and ASEAN members to make the South China Sea a sea of peace, friendship and cooperation, but also their readiness to advance consultations on the Code of Conduct (COC) in the sea and confidence in reaching consensus on the COC at an early date.
For a long time, a few countries outside the region have deliberately distorted facts, stirred up tensions and incited confrontation in the region. Washington, in particular, has exerted itself to hype up a so-called threat to the "freedom of navigation" in the South China Sea, a claim purely fabricated.
The fact is while some 100,000 merchant vessels now travel in this busy shipping route annually, not a single ship has ever reported its safety threatened in the South China Sea.
In fact, Washington's claimed threat to the "freedom of navigation" is more accurate when used to describe its own increasing military presence in the region. Under the pretext of navigation freedom, the United States frequently sends its warships and aircraft carriers to the regional waters, and has conducted a multitude of war games. Such a naked show of force is practically heightening tensions in the Asia-Pacific, and undermining peace and stability there.
As clear as it can be, China's sovereignty, rights and interests in the South China Sea have been formed in the course of a long history, and have abundant historical and legal basis. It is also patent and above-board that China advocates maintaining peace, stability and unimpeded shipping lanes in the South China Sea, since the "freedom of navigation" in the sea serves the interests of all parties, including those of China.
Being the world's biggest trader of goods, China has 60 percent of its cargoes shipped through the South China Sea. Seven out of the 10 biggest ports by cargo volume in the world are located in China, from which large amounts of goods are shipped by foreign navigation firms to other parts of the world through the South China Sea. If the "freedom of navigation" was jeopardized, China would be the top victim.

As the 2022 World Cup kicked off in Qatar on Sunday, Riyadh Season opened its World Cup Fan Festival Zone in the Saudi capital.
Modeled on the fan zones in Qatar and set up in the Mrsool Park stadium, it will screen all the games and offers football fans the chance to watch the World Cup on the big screen amid the great atmosphere in Riyadh.
The Fan Festival zone includes entertainment and shopping areas, where visitors can play video games, shop, and choose from an array of restaurants and cafes. It will also feature live music between and before matches.
Many people flocked to the zone to watch the opening game that pitted hosts Qatar against Ecuador on Sunday.
The Fan Festival zone will also host an exhibition for Argentinian football icon Diego Maradona, which will display the most prominent moments of his career.

Nov 18 (Reuters) - Elon Musk started a Twitter poll late on Friday asking followers to vote on whether to reinstate former U.S. President Donald Trump's account on the platform, with early results showing roughly 60% voting yes.
"Vox Populi, Vox Dei," Musk tweeted, a Latin phrase that roughly means meaning "the voice of the people is the voice of God." The poll was open for 24 hours.
Musk, Twitter's new owner, said in May he would reverse Twitter's ban on Trump, whose account was suspended after last year's attack on the U.S. Capitol.
Musk said earlier in the day that a decision to bring back Trump's account was yet to be made, and that Twitter had reinstated some controversial accounts that had been banned or suspended, including satirical website Babylon Bee and comedian Kathy Griffin.
Musk's decision to ask Twitter users for guidance on who should be on the platform is part of a huge restructuring of the company, including massive layoffs.
In a memo on Friday to remaining employees that was seen by Reuters, Musk asked those who write software code to report to the 10th floor of the Twitter's headquarters in San Francisco by early afternoon.
The billionaire said in a follow-up email: "If possible, I would appreciate it if you could fly to SF to be present in person," adding he would be at the office until midnight and would return Saturday morning.
He asked employees to email him a summary of what their software code has "achieved" in the past six months, "along with up to 10 screenshots of the most salient lines of code."

Spotted at the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever advanced screening by Marvel and Disney Philippines was the ever-charming Robi Domingo. We were some of the few people who were privileged to screen the film a day early before the rest of the Philippines saw it. The film, I must say, is the best project of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) this year.
The women were the strongest I had seen in superhero films, the action sequences were leveled up, and just when we thought that we already saw everything in superhero films, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever managed to surprise us in some scenes. I also liked the antagonist Namor, who appeared really strong. Oftentimes, superhero movies fail to cast the right villain but they nailed it in Wakanda Forever.
OK, enough about the film and more about Robi, who was recently in the headlines for two things. One was his engagement last week with non-showbiz girlfriend Maiqui Pineda. They just got back last Monday from a Japan trip that is about to change their lives.
“We are still on a high. We’re still processing kasi iba iyong celebration sa Japan and iba pa iyong celebration dito,” he said. “People are still congratulating me and I appreciate it. We are in the initial planning pa lang.”
Robi and Maiqui had been dating for four years and for Robi, it is just apt that they take their relationship a notch higher, although no altar date has been set yet.
“We’re still taking our time after that vacation,” he shared. “We still need another vacation! Ang sarap ng moments with KathNiel (Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla), with Joshua (Garcia), with Zanjoe (Marudo) and Ria (Atayde). It was more like a group thing and with her family.”
Well, it seems like Robi has to be smarter when it comes to time management. After his successful gig as the host of Idol Philippines Season 2, he said that he bagged two more projects, which are slated for 2023 and still under ABS-CBN. Which brought me to the second reason he was in the headlines. Robi having offers for projects just goes to show that the assumption of controversial vlogger Zeinab Harake that he does not have a market is not true.
For Robi, who is known to be very educated and well-mannered, this issue weeks ago is water under the bridge now. In fact, even if it concerned him, he said that he was not affected by the issue. He even welcomed the vlogger’s quick apology for it.
“When she reached out, we messaged each other. Ako, no problem. I know where she’s coming from, I know the back story,” he said.
His explanation about his tweets and posts that used the word “market” was just riding on the controversy lightly and was merely a play on words.

Spotted at the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever advanced screening by Marvel and Disney Philippines was the ever-charming Robi Domingo. We were some of the few people who were privileged to screen the film a day early before the rest of the Philippines saw it. The film, I must say, is the best project of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) this year.
The women were the strongest I had seen in superhero films, the action sequences were leveled up, and just when we thought that we already saw everything in superhero films, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever managed to surprise us in some scenes. I also liked the antagonist Namor, who appeared really strong. Oftentimes, superhero movies fail to cast the right villain but they nailed it in Wakanda Forever.

Well, it seems like Robi has to be smarter when it comes to time management. Robi having offers for projects just goes to show that the assumption of controversial vlogger Zeinab Harake that he does not have a market is not true.
For Robi, who is known to be very educated and well-mannered, this issue weeks ago is water under the bridge now. In fact, even if it concerned him, he said that he was not affected by the issue. He even welcomed the vlogger’s quick apology for it.
“When she reached out, we messaged each other. Ako, no problem. I know where she’s coming from, I know the back story,” he said.

As the sun rose on Twitter this morning, many users found new “Official” verification badges, which had just been announced yesterday, attached to their accounts. (Kotaku notably did not; what did we do to upset you, Elon?) But before anyone could even enjoy their first lunch as double-verified elites, the badges disappeared. Twitter’s new approach to verification lasted just a few hours before Elon Musk killed it.
The “Official” verification label was announced just yesterday, November 8 by Twitter Director of Product Management Esther Crawford as a solution to the problem posed by the changes to the Twitter Blue subscription service. Since the new Twitter Blue will give blue checks to anyone who pays $8 a month, Twitter needed a way to identify public figures, government officials, and corporations.
Enter “Official” verification. Today’s new label—a gray version of the traditional blue checkmark accompanied by the word “Official”—was meant to distinguish the official accounts of “verified” users from Twitter Blue subscribers. “Not all previously verified accounts will get the ‘Official’ label and the label is not available for purchase. Accounts that will receive it include government accounts, commercial companies, business partners, major media outlets, publishers and some public figures,” wrote Crawford.

However, this morning it quickly became clear that Twitter’s method for anointing accounts as “Official” was somewhat random, or perhaps even reflective of Musk’s personal vendettas. Screenshots show that Kanye West, the man responsible for a litany of anti-Semitic diatribes, was officially verified, as was magical transphobe J.K. Rowling. But former Democratic nominee for President Hillary Clinton did not get the new verification. Neither did famed horror writer Stephen King, who famously tweeted “fuck that” last week amid rumors that retaining a blue check would cost $20. Yet the late, great Anthony Bourdain, who has been dead for over four years, did get the elusive label.
As pointed out by Forbes’ Paul Tassi, Destiny 2 developer Bungie was not given an official verification, but Destiny 2 the game was. Actor and gamer Felicia Day, streamer Hasan Piker, and Karnage clan member Drift0r all got the hookup, while many game journalists (myself included) did not. Outlets like GameSpot, Polygon, IGN, and GamesRadar had official verified status bestowed upon them, but Kotaku, as I mentioned, was snubbed.

The G20 summit set to be held in Bali will likely affect the daily routines of local Balinese and tourists who visit the island as authorities will enact a restriction to regular flights destined for Bali.
The Ministry of Transportation has issued a Circular Letter (SE) of the Director General of Civil Aviation No.12/2022 concerning Flight Operational Arrangements during the G20 Summit at Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali, Antaranews reported.
The ministry appealed to the public to adjust their travel plans to Bali as restrictions on regular flights to and from Bali will be enacted from November 13 to November 17. During this period, the Ngurah Rai airport will limit operations of regular flights as they deem it as the peak arrival of world leaders.
Adita Irawati, Transportation Ministry’s spokesperson said flight operations are prioritized for VVIP flights in accordance with regulatory provisions, but on the other hand, maintaining a limited number of regular flight operational needs.
"Considering that some guests and G20 delegates will still travel with regular flights. In addition, flights to Bali will also only serve those departing from Soekarno Hatta Airport," she said.

It Is The Beginning Of The End For Tesla
The tell-tale hints are there that Tesla is on a slippery slope.
Tesla not only sowed the seeds for the EV movement but has also been the industry leader for well over a decade. Only now is anyone else even able to get close to them in terms of driving range, charge speeds, performance, or price. But recent changes in China and some new faltering share prices may suggest that Tesla’s days as top dog are numbered, and soon they may become an also-ran in the EV race. So, is Tesla about to slip away? Or can Musk rescue this situation?
This all started when Tesla cut the Model 3 and Y prices in China by $2,000 and $4,000, respectively. This might sound like a good thing and a decision that would barely impact Tesla as a company, but when you dig a little deeper, it doesn’t look good.
A little while ago, Tesla had to increase the Model 3 and Y prices in China to account for increased material costs. These cuts have brought these prices back down to pre-material inflation levels. But the cost of materials is still really high (particularly for lithium and computer chips).
Back in 2021, Tesla only sold 150,000 Model 3’s in China, so this price cut will likely only take a few hundred thousand dollars off their revenue, which is minuscule for a company like Tesla. However, the material costs of building a Tesla are likely higher today than they were in 2020, so the actual loss of revenue could be far greater.
A fear of how this loss of revenue could affect Tesla rippled through the stock market and caused Tesla stock to plummet 7%. This begs the question, why has Tesla dropped the price of these vehicles? Well, it is all to do with new rivals and missed targets.
You see, while Tesla is miles in front of any Western EV company, Chinese EVs are already besting them.
Take the Zeekr 001 (which I covered in detail here). It has a beautiful, well-built interior, plenty of trunk space, a range of 435 miles, goes from 0–60 mph in only 3.8 seconds, and charges at 360 kW (100 kW faster than any Tesla). All for the dirt cheap price of $48,000! Meanwhile, a Tesla Model Y Long Range (which is of similar spec and size to the 001) costs nearly $60,000, has a range of 337 miles, goes from 0–60 mph in five seconds, and has a charge rate of 250 kW.
Why would you choose the Tesla over the Zeekr? You wouldn’t! And so, plenty of would-be Chinese Tesla owners have been tempted elsewhere.
It isn’t just Zeekr. Several other Chinese manufacturers are starting to offer cars in the Chinese market with significantly better stats than Tesla for less money. As such, Tesla deliveries and revenue have slumped behind where they were predicted to be. The only thing Musk can do to boost sales is to drop the price of their models and hope this brings customers back.
Right now, this is only happening in China, as that is where these dirt-cheap yet high-quality EVs are being sold. But over the next few years, they will be offered in the US, Canada, EU, and Australian markets. So, Tesla may soon find itself having to cut the price of its EV worldwide, which would slash its profits and cause its stock price to tumble.
This would be an utter disaster for Musk. Let me explain.
Musk has several massive projects that could cause Tesla cars to become significantly cheaper: the 4680 battery and his upcoming lithium mine.
The 4680 battery promises to cut the price per kWh by 56%. However, this requires utilising totally new cell technology, such as a dry coating and silicone anodes. Tesla is really struggling to manufacture both of those at scale. This is why the current 4680 batteries being installed into Model Y’s are just giant versions of their old batteries (read more here), and as such, don’t have these insane cost savings. Tesla will need a lot of investment to get proper 4680 production up to scale, which will require either high profits or a high stock price to raise funds against.
The same is true for their lithium mine. To try and fight the rising cost of materials, Tesla is currently trying to build its own lithium mine, which will allow its batteries to become even cheaper (read more here). But yet again, this will require a huge amount of investment to get up and running, which will either require massive profits or high stock prices to help raise finance.
So, Tesla is currently locked in a race. It needs to finish these projects and get them fully operational before what happened in China is repeated worldwide. The question has to be asked: is Tesla in deep trouble?
Well, possibly not. You see, Tesla has insane profit margins. Tesla makes about $24,000 profit per Model Y sold, or about a 40% margin (read more here). So, if Tesla needed to cut the price of their vehicles even more, they could, and the business would happily stay afloat.
While such a move would likely end any 4680 development or lithium mine construction and tank their share prices, it would, at the very least, keep Tesla going. Or, this would be the case if it weren’t for Tesla’s whopping $18 billion in cash reserves, which should be enough to pay for both the 4680 development and lithium mine.
But would this be enough to keep their industry lead? I don’t think so. Cars like the Zeekr are already lined up to get upgraded batteries that charge at 600 kW and have a range of 620+ miles. These upgrades will put them far ahead of Tesla, even with fully deployed 4680 batteries and their own lithium supply. Even if Tesla can pull off these projects, its cars will still struggle against the upcoming competition.
So, it seems likely that Tesla will soon find itself in the middle of the EV race, or possibly worse.
However, let’s not forget who is at the helm of Tesla. Musk has an uncanny ability to make businesses soar when they should crash. So if anyone can see Tesla through this upcoming storm, it’s him. I just can’t help feeling like the writing is already on the wall and the days of Tesla pioneering this revolutionary industry are over. Only time will tell.

A fear of how this loss of revenue could affect Tesla rippled through the stock market and caused Tesla stock to plummet 7%. This begs the question, why has Tesla dropped the price of these vehicles? Well, it is all to do with new rivals and missed targets.
You see, while Tesla is miles in front of any Western EV company, Chinese EVs are already besting them.
Take the Zeekr 001 (which I covered in detail here). It has a beautiful, well-built interior, plenty of trunk space, a range of 435 miles, goes from 0–60 mph in only 3.8 seconds, and charges at 360 kW (100 kW faster than any Tesla). All for the dirt cheap price of $48,000! Meanwhile, a Tesla Model Y Long Range (which is of similar spec and size to the 001) costs nearly $60,000, has a range of 337 miles, goes from 0–60 mph in five seconds, and has a charge rate of 250 kW.
Why would you choose the Tesla over the Zeekr? You wouldn’t! And so, plenty of would-be Chinese Tesla owners have been tempted elsewhere.
It isn’t just Zeekr. Several other Chinese manufacturers are starting to offer cars in the Chinese market with significantly better stats than Tesla for less money. As such, Tesla deliveries and revenue have slumped behind where they were predicted to be. The only thing Musk can do to boost sales is to drop the price of their models and hope this brings customers back.
Right now, this is only happening in China, as that is where these dirt-cheap yet high-quality EVs are being sold. But over the next few years, they will be offered in the US, Canada, EU, and Australian markets. So, Tesla may soon find itself having to cut the price of its EV worldwide, which would slash its profits and cause its stock price to tumble.
This would be an utter disaster for Musk. Let me explain.
Musk has several massive projects that could cause Tesla cars to become significantly cheaper: the 4680 battery and his upcoming lithium mine.
The 4680 battery promises to cut the price per kWh by 56%. However, this requires utilising totally new cell technology, such as a dry coating and silicone anodes. Tesla is really struggling to manufacture both of those at scale. This is why the current 4680 batteries being installed into Model Y’s are just giant versions of their old batteries (read more here), and as such, don’t have these insane cost savings. Tesla will need a lot of investment to get proper 4680 production up to scale, which will require either high profits or a high stock price to raise funds against.
The same is true for their lithium mine. To try and fight the rising cost of materials, Tesla is currently trying to build its own lithium mine, which will allow its batteries to become even cheaper (read more here). But yet again, this will require a huge amount of investment to get up and running, which will either require massive profits or high stock prices to help raise finance.
So, Tesla is currently locked in a race. It needs to finish these projects and get them fully operational before what happened in China is repeated worldwide. The question has to be asked: is Tesla in deep trouble?
Well, possibly not. You see, Tesla has insane profit margins. Tesla makes about $24,000 profit per Model Y sold, or about a 40% margin (read more here). So, if Tesla needed to cut the price of their vehicles even more, they could, and the business would happily stay afloat.
While such a move would likely end any 4680 development or lithium mine construction and tank their share prices, it would, at the very least, keep Tesla going. Or, this would be the case if it weren’t for Tesla’s whopping $18 billion in cash reserves, which should be enough to pay for both the 4680 development and lithium mine.
But would this be enough to keep their industry lead? I don’t think so. Cars like the Zeekr are already lined up to get upgraded batteries that charge at 600 kW and have a range of 620+ miles. These upgrades will put them far ahead of Tesla, even with fully deployed 4680 batteries and their own lithium supply. Even if Tesla can pull off these projects, its cars will still struggle against the upcoming competition.
So, it seems likely that Tesla will soon find itself in the middle of the EV race, or possibly worse.
However, let’s not forget who is at the helm of Tesla. Musk has an uncanny ability to make businesses soar when they should crash. So if anyone can see Tesla through this upcoming storm, it’s him. I just can’t help feeling like the writing is already on the wall and the days of Tesla pioneering this revolutionary industry are over. Only time will tell.

Die Welt habe „alle nötigen Instrumente in der Hand, um die Klimakrise zu begrenzen und auf den 1,5-Grad-Pfad zu kommen“.
Bei der am Sonntag beginnenden Konferenz, die erstmals seit 2016 wieder in Afrika stattfindet, werden 40 000 Teilnehmer erwartet. Auf der COP27 verhandeln Vertreter aus knapp 200 Staaten in Scharm el Scheich zwei Wochen lang darüber, wie der Kampf gegen die Erderhitzung verstärkt werden kann. Die Zeit drängt, denn die vergangenen sieben Jahre waren die wärmsten seit Beginn der Wetteraufzeichnungen. Extremwetterereignisse unter anderem in Pakistan, Nigeria und Somalia zeigten zuletzt, welche enormen Schäden und welch tödliche Zerstörungskraft der Klimawandel birgt.
Die weltweiten Emissionen klimaschädlicher Treibhausgase müssen Forschern zufolge schon bis 2030 um etwa die Hälfte sinken. Anders ist demnach das auf der UN-Klimakonferenz in Paris 2015 gemeinsam vereinbarte Ziel nicht zu erreichen, die Erderwärmung auf 1,5 Grad zu begrenzen im Vergleich zur vorindustriellen Zeit. Nach den gegenwärtig vorgelegten Klimaschutzplänen der Staaten würden sie aber sogar weiter steigen.
Trotz des russischen Angriffskriegs in der Ukraine dürfe 2022 „kein verlorenes Jahr für den Klimaschutz werden. Für viele Staaten geht es um das Überleben ihrer Bevölkerung und ihrer Kultur“, teilte Baerbock mit den Ministerien für Wirtschaft, Entwicklung und Umwelt mit. „Für sie ist die Klimakrise weiterhin das wichtigste Sicherheitsthema, nicht Russlands Krieg in Europa.“ Diese Staaten würden von den reichen Ländern mehr Solidarität erwarten.
Wegen des laufenden Kriegs in Europa, aber auch wegen der damit teilweise zusammenhängenden Krisen bei Energie, Ernährung, Wirtschaft sowie wachsende Staatsschulden sind die Erwartungen an die Klimakonferenz eher gedämpft – auch im Vergleich zur COP26 vor einem Jahr in Glasgow. Bundespräsident Frank-Walter Steinmeier bewertete die Erfolgsaussichten vorab als gering. Auch der renommierte Klimaökonom Ottmar Edenhofer und Klimaforscher Mojib Latif gaben sich vorab resigniert.

Einige Ärzte machten Tests, Ultraschalluntersuchungen und Biopsien, doch nichts schien eine Antwort liefern zu können, warum Dennis diese Symptome hatte.
